Well, what can I say about me! I'm Tracy, the owner of Shumba's Groom Vroom.
I've owned and adored dogs for as long as I can remember. From Collies and Labradors as a child, to German Shepherds as an adult.
My 1st German Shepherd, Ella, was rescued at 8 months old, from an abusive situation. She was scared of pretty much everyone and everything and could be quite reactive to a lot of situations, but I still adored her. Overtime, she learned to trust me and my family and instilled a love of the breed in me. I currently have Shumba, my once in a lifetime dog, and Wyllow, the first dog I ever had as a puppy.
I have volunteered for a number of years for a German Shepherd rescue and run a Dog Walk group for them to help socialise rescue dogs and to assist rehoming.
I do take a holistic approach with my own dogs and with grooming. I prefer to avoid chemicals wherever possible, which shows in the health and condition of Shumba and Wyllow.
I am qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 in Dog Grooming and hold a Certificate in Pet 1st Aid from Pershore College.
I have also attended courses on Tellington Touch, Canine Massage and Reiki and Seminars in training and behaviour.
I also attend many grooming shows and workshops to keep abreast of new techniques and products and to learn from other skilled and specialist groomers around the country.
